Wedding Trend: Jewel Tones

If you’re after a colour scheme which screams vibrancy and opulence, but you still want your big day to remain an elegant and classy affair, then these beautiful rich Jewel tones will be perfect for you! Mix two or three complimentary colours for a more subtle effect, or use a whole rainbow of vivid shades to put the sparkle into your wedding!

If you are opting to wear traditional white, a great way to inject the beautiful jewel tones into your bridal party is by dressing your bridesmaids in different coloured gowns. Emeralds, clarets, indigos, sapphires and fuchsias all look great, and you’ll be surprised how elegant the overall look can be; as I agree it sounds rather mismatched! The ushers and groomsmen can all follow suit by matching their neckwear and pocket squares to the colours of the bridesmaid’s dresses and if you fancy going the whole hog, why not include a ‘Jewel’ dress code for your guests to follow on your invites?

When it comes to decoration, dress your tables in beautiful deep-coloured table cloths with matching chair covers too. Use over the top flower arrangements in a range of jewel tones and sprinkle with lashings of table gems. Atmospheric coloured up lighters also look fantastic dotted around your room, and if your budget can stretch to it, draping can really transform the simplest of spaces into something rather special. The overall feel will be one of richness and opulence and will leave you and your guests well and truly dazzled!
