The Prettiest Touches for your Winter Wedding

Winter weddings mean you can have an array of beautiful touches that just wouldn’t work in summer, each one a reason why you should so opt to marry in the wintertime. Here are our ten favourite touches at winter weddings – feel free to steal!

Hot Chocolate Bar

Neither coffee nor tea comes close to being as comforting a winter hot drink as hot chocolate. Treating your guests to a hot chocolate bar is such a lovely gesture and they look so pretty! You can have as many toppings as you want – whipped cream, marshmallows, sprinkles… Oh and if you were to serve cookies with the hot chocolates your guests will fall a little bit more in love with you.

There is almost nothing worse than trying to enjoy something whilst shivering, make sure this doesn’t befall your guests by providing lovely blankets for them to snuggle under as they enjoy your special day. Plus it just looks so adorable!

I think sleeves on wedding dresses are so elegant and pretty, and are perfect for winter weddings. Sheer and lace sleeves look particularly gorgeous, don’t you think?

Would you see a summer bride wrapped in a faux fur stole? Didn’t think so. A winter bride however, can wrap up in knitwear, stoles and beautiful embellished boleros.

Sparkly Cakes

Okay, so you can have a sparkly cake in summer, but sparkle on winter wedding cakes is so stunningly reflective of snow and ice that it takes on a lovely ethereal ambiance.

Naked Cakes

These do look beautiful in summer weddings but look at how gorgeous these winter naked cakes look with winter berries and dusting that looks so snow-like.

Have a think about how often your hands freeze without the aid of cosy gloves, now imagine how cold your guests’ hands may get, that is unless you so kindly provide them with gloves. These will especially come in handy when taking wedding photos outside and make a lovely keepsake for guests to remember your wedding,

Branches With Snow

These look beautiful as table centrepieces or décor. You can hang candles in glass jars from them too for a beautiful effect.

These are so great for send-off photos, and so much fun!

Hanging lanterns from tree branches looks so pretty – like little fireflies dancing with a backdrop of wintery scenery.
