Bridal Shoes

A wedding can be a long day! From the minute you wake up and change into your beautiful gown, to the ceremony, reception, speeches, cutting of the cake and most importantly the dancing in the evening, your poor feet will be exhausted! I think there is nothing worse than pain from ill fitting and uncomfortable shoes, and for you to truly enjoy all aspects of your wedding, your footwear is critical. Follow some of my points below for happy feet!

The length of your wedding gown is determined by the heel height of your shoes, so it’s important to pick the perfect pair early on.

If you are confident and accustomed to wearing heels on a regular basis, great! If not, your wedding might not be the best day to try them out. So pick a heel you feel comfortable with.

Fantastic gel pads and shoe inserts are available to buy to ensure extra comfort.

If you heels aren’t your thing, there are some beautiful flats and ballerina pumps on the market which are just as dressy! Look for diamante encrusted ones and pretty silk styles.

If your shoes are a peep toe style, then don’t neglect your toes! A lovely pampering pedicure will sort them out, finished with your nails perfectly painted in a colour of your choice.

Popular colours for bridal shoes are white or ivory silk, to match your dress, with diamante detailing. Fancy something different? Why not opt for lacy styles, or gold or silver? And if you are not the traditional type, a bright accent colour shoe will add uniqueness.

Shoes can be expensive, so if you’re on a budget, customisation is key. A cheap or old pair of shoes can be given a revamp with some gems, glue and a steady hand!
