How to wear a wedding day jumpsuit

Since Amal and Solange wore jumpsuits on their wedding day (admittedly Amal had more than one wedding outfit), jumpsuits have become more and more popular with brides.

Comfortable yet elegant, modern, fresh and chi to boot, they definitely make wonderful alternatives to more traditional bridal dresses. There’s so much choice too – slim fitting with lace sleeves, wide legs, flowy and belted. Here are a few of our favourites.

Alice and Olivia Lupita Halter Jumpsuit

This is just beautiful, I love the flowy gathers, the nipped-in waist and the utter femininity this jumpsuit exudes – absolutely as elegant as any dress!

Carolina Herrera

Definitely one for the more daring bride – while some jumpsuits can have the silhouette of a dress, there is no chance this does. This would be perfect for a very contemporary wedding and bride. Ps. You’ll be able to show off an incredible pair of shoes!

Jady Jumpsuit Pink Stitch

This fitted top and looser legs on this means it emphasises a beautiful feminine figure, it’s relaxed but can definitely be dressed up.

Shaun Jumpsuit Rachel Pally

Who said bridal attire had to be white? This is just gorgeous, the taupe is timeless and the cut flattering – it’s perfect for a contemporary bride wanting something just a little bit different.

Delia Jumpsuit Misha Collection

I love the detailing on the top of this jumpsuit; it would flatter brides with chests on the slightly smaller side perfectly.

Diane Von Furstenberg Kendra Embellished Jumpsuit

Possibly my favourite out of all of these is this DVF jumpsuit. The lace sleeves are just stunning. The cinched in waist is so flattering and the balance between detail and simplicity on this is perfect.
